your lucky its all there for you…. that is all the variable factors you need to figure out the formula….
i think you dont understand how to come up with the ansewer when given all the parts of the formula…
its o.k… i wasnt to keen on science either…
suggestion turn this into a math problem..
your looking for speed…. so what is the formula to figure speed…
    i think it is S = D / T
    Speed = Distance / Time
    m / s
    ? = 24m / 6s
    = 4
SO… we see that the plane flew 4meters per second
since there was a distance of 24 meters, and the total time it took for the plane to cover this distance was 6 seconds….
SO… to figure out the speed we need to know what the distance was covered per second…
Therefore …. through the formula above we see that the plane covered 4 meters per second… so the speed was 4m/s…..
HINT… sometimes its easyier to get the final answer by looking at it as a math problem….
but it does not help of actually understanding what is going on….
May i suggest a tooter at this point , cause if you dont get it at this level, you will be lost…
i know i was, and had to take the subject over…. a tooter may have a different approach to explaining what is going on then your teacher…
the problem is how you see the problem… so before anybody helps you with the problem EXPLAIN TO THEM HOW YOU SEE THE PROBLEM, WRONG OR NOT… IF ITS A PROFFESIONAL THEY WILL UNDERSTAND WHERE EXACTLY YOUR MAKING A MISTAKE IN UNDERSTANDING THE PRINCIPLE AND ALL THE REST …
any othe questions please feel free to call on me again…

Remember that per means divide by.
So 24 meters per 6 seconds is the ratio:
    24/6
    You want the ratio :
    x/1
    So solve the proportion:
    24/6 = x/1
    hope this helps.
